Derived from the Ibiza, of which it maintained the front part and the doors. This fastback saloon measured more than 4 m in length
This was the fourth collaboration with Seat after the Ibizas and the Toledo.
The Cordoba was created for market segment C and was a fast-back saloon of sporty design. Some features of the front-end were reminiscent of the Toledo and new Ibiza due to the horizontal shape of the headlamps and grille.
The rear spoiler was produced in two versions, larger for versions with higher powered engines.
Some small but targeted solutions such as the wrap around wings and shape of the ventilation grilles, in addition to very smooth lines, allowed the Seat Cordoba a Cd of 0.32.
