When asked to design binoculars, Giugiaro Design apparently did not retrieve the idea from the optical characteristics of the lenses which constitute the basic requirements for engineergin design. Instead, the V-Line concept emerged from a fundamental revision of binuculars as tools which are operated with both hand while being supported at the location of the human eyes.
The relatively small-sized binoculars (magnifications of x8 and x10) wheigh approximately 400 grams. This light weight allows the binoculars to be easily held by light pressure at the fingertips.
