Italdesign Pop.Up Next will be displayed outside Europe for the first time ever; it will one of the main attractions at GITEX Tech Week, which will take place in Dubai, EAU, from October 14 to 18.

Held for the first time in 1980, GITEX Technology Week reached its 38thedition this year, showcasing global technology and innovations that are converging sectors and industries 365 days a year.

Pop.Up Next will be displayed inside Etisalat booth; headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE Etisalat serves 12.7 million resident customers and over 300,000 large, medium and small enterprise and government customers in the UAE.

“Showing Pop.Up Next in Dubai, in collaboration with Etisalat is a great opportunity for us – Italdeisgn CEO Jörg Astalosch said – the whole idea behind this project is to provide a service for municipalities around the world to lighten traffic congestion. Pop.Up Next is a modular, multi-modal, hi-tech system; since the very beginning of this idea Dubai was one of the ideal place where Pop.Up Next could be implemented, so we immediately accepted the offer from Etisalat to be present at GITEX and learn more about Dubai.”

Italdesign is investing in increasingly becoming a key player in the global development of future mobility, consolidating its own function as a development hub for new and innovative ideas and as a meeting point for the various sectors and stakeholders involved. Future mobility will be an all-round challenge that will increasingly involve not only vehicle manufacturers — whether these be cars, aircraft, trains to name but a few — but entities that to date have primarily played a statutory and regulatory role: from now on, they will increasingly become an integral part of the development process.

“Being at GITEX Technology Week is part of the ongoing process to further develop Pop.Up Next in collaboration with our partners Airbus and Audi. Stay tuned for the next exciting steps of this project”, Jörg Astalosch concluded.
