The bycicle for the youngsters of the electronic age
“For the youngsters of the electronic age” Giugiaro Design was asked by the Japanese company Bridgestone, to design the Montecarlo and Montecarlo Giugiaro (1984, 1985) bikes, each characterized by its lighting system.
With the “Barcon Faro” system, the rider has centralized control of the headlight, passing/hazard, winker and fog lamps through a single switch on the handlebars. And, a stop light comes on at the tail when the brakes are operated.
The 1984-85 model is fitted with an integral carrier and lamp unit at the rear, the details of which give it a very “new material look”.
