POWERTRAIN LAB
Built in a record-time of 18 months, the Powertrain Emissions Lab has an area of more than 1,000 square meters and it's divided into two, separated access‑controlled areas.
Powetrain Emissions Lab is set to allow Italdesign to test the emissions of every kind of powertrain available: combustion engines, hybrid, full electric and even hydrogen powered.
One is dedicated to the Volkswagen Group brands, the second to the open market clients.
It is possible to provide vehicle emissions measurements following most of the international standards.
The performance of the devices and the architecture of the center enable to extend the measurements over the standards to perform advanced research and development tests and analysis.
